| Address: 2601 McKinney Avenue Hard Rock Cafe Dallas (Dallas) TX, 75204 Description: When you travel to the Hard Rock Dallas, Texas you are in for a special walk down Memory Lane. "The Supreme Court of Rock & Roll" was originally built in 1904 as the McKinney Avenue Church and from there it became many things, but none as fascinating as in 1986 when it was converted into the 4th Hard Rock in the USA and 9th in the world. This awe-inspiring structure has assets such as 50-foot high stained glass renderings of Elvis, Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis, as well as a beautiful domed ceiling and World-Famous Guitar Bar that replicates Eddie Van Halen's 1984 "Jump" guitar. Make sure you ask about the Cheese Club. This room was originally in Pete Townshend's castle in London. Housed in the Dallas HRC's mezzanine, the Cheese Club highlights include original 14th Century woodwork and furniture as well as a select grouping of memorabilia. It serves part time as a Green Room for stars traveling in to Rock our Cafe. Recent sightings include Megadeth, LA Guns, Warrant, Smashmouth, Tantric, Sammy Hagar and Ratt as well as many local and regional favorites.
